"In the past, I relied only on intense cardio to lose weight, which sort of worked but I didn't like how I looked then either. Alex explained to me the importance of incorporating strength training. At the time I didn't see why it was important, but now I do.
I lost 40 lbs and went from high-risk body fat % to the average range for my gender & age, so I was able to improve my overall health. Training with Alex was more than just working out, he was like my mentor. He made me realize that sometimes when you’re not successful in the gym, it can be because of the things happening outside of it. So when we fixed those, I started to see real progress. He kept believing in me, even when I didn’t believe in myself.

"The biggest challenge that I faced prior to working with Alex was remaining consistent in my workouts. Since beginning with weekly training, I’ve remained consistent with regular exercise due to the accountability that comes with a personal trainer. Even when life is busy, I know I have a scheduled session that I have to stick with.
I value the optimism with which Alex approaches each workout, and I’ve always left in a better mindset. His personality and coaching always turn my way of thinking in the right direction. If I can’t finish a set, he makes the most of what I could do. If I get to the end of the set and still have energy, he pushes me to take it further. He’s always thinking in a forward direction and pushes me to do better, and I appreciate that mentality.
My confidence has grown exponentially during my time with Alex, even down to the clothing that I wear to the gym. I used to only wear baggy, dark-colored shirts to hide my form, and now I’m comfortable in whatever I want to wear, thanks to the progress I’ve made while working with Alex.
Alex encourages me to make healthier choices, but also acknowledges that cutting what we enjoy eating entirely is not always the best option. His easygoing personality made it easy to work with him from the very beginning. He is flexible, accommodating, and constantly adjusts our routine as I progress to make sure that I continue to improve and don’t plateau at any point. I couldn’t possibly recommend him enough."
